Bag snatches

Police are warning women to be on their guard after three handbags were snatched in two days.

All three incidents happened in the West End of Newcastle.

At around 5.05pm, last Friday, an 82-year-old Monogram vernis Replica Handbags was left shocked but uninjured when a teenager on a bike ripped her bag out of her hand as she walked along Hilda Terrace in Throckley.

Less than three hours later at 7.40pm a 40-year-old woman was targeted on Linbridge Drive in West Denton. At around 12.15pm on Sunday a third woman had her bag snatched after she was approached by three men on Southway in south west Denton.
