Just imagine a 31-year-old Itai, Nzamo, 25 and Jeremy, 22 vowing not to leave the diary room until someone picks their calls. The same way a child stays at the end of the road until they see their much loved relative disappear into the horizon.

This, after Biggie got bored by the housemates like all of us are, and went “on holiday to look for more interesting housemates”. But Itai’s insistence never paid off, as the voice on the other side of the line told him “hello, your call is important to us. You are number 259 in the line. Please hold”.

Time will tell if the housemates will get any more interesting as Africa wrongly evicted all the interesting characters. What sort of entertainment can Mzamo, Nkenna, Emma, Edward, Geraldine or Itai give you? As for Big Brother ‘Sarah’, she has come back a more spirited person, at least judging from the fervor and sparkle in her voice lately.

New housemate Ruby!

When Biggie told housemates, that she got them a new housemate called Ruby, Miss. Know-It-All, Elizabeth (TZ) swore to the housemates how the new housemate is a woman she knows too well from Tanzania. Well, Ruby turned out to be a brown lovely mixed breed Labrador.

And only she knows why of all housemates, biggie would choose to bring her friend in the house. Ruby is to be cleaned by housemates, fed twice a day and is to sleep in her bed, not on top or in any other person’s bed. Although not so African, the housemates have gotten on well with her apart from Nkenna who claims to be scared of dogs. Mbu her mother once poisoned their dog for eating too much!

Girls’ day out

Just 33 days to go and the house is tense. All the pre-planners of the “a girl must win it” are out. Now is everyone for themselves and God for us all. For the second week running, Emma is up again for nomination together with Nkenna and Elizabeth who replaced Mzamo (Malawi), after Head of House Edward’s swap. Even as housemates advised him to swap in Ruby, Biggie had been very clear that “Ruby would not be nominated in the first week of her stay in the house”.

Itai must have been relieved not to be on the nominations list as he has replaced Paloma in taking the game too seriously. The Zimbabwean has openly begged the last three heads of house to save him from eviction.
